Building Australia’s rare-earth metals and high-performance permanent magnet manufacturing capability for strategic global markets

JACS intends to build an Australian rare-earth industrial platform focused on recognised strategic bottlenecks in the rare-earth supply chain. Through JV partnerships, JACS aims to enable freedom to operate, reduce execution risk, leverage existing customer bases, and accelerate the path to production.

This partnership model is designed to create value for JV partners, investors, government, customers, feedstock suppliers, and the community.

  • JV partners:
Provides a lower-burden, capital-efficient pathway to expand manufacturing capacity in Australia by combining the JV partner’s technical, operating and/or customer capabilities with JACS’ local development platform, including government alignment, site selection, approvals, finance structuring, feedstock and offtake coordination, and project delivery readiness.
    • Oxide-to-metal partners:
Provides offtake for JACS volume magnet manufacturing and gains rare-earth metal capacity to support existing customers, new customers, and allied export markets.
    • Magnet manufacturing partners:
Expand high-performance Neodymium magnet manufacturing capacity in Australia, supported by secure local rare-earth metals supply and positioned to service existing customers, new customers and allied Indo-Pacific export markets.
  • Investors:
Gain exposure to a staged, policy-aligned industrial platform supporting high-growth markets, with defined technical scope, credible JV structure, feedstock and offtake pathways, and disciplined FID readiness.
  • Government:
Provides a credible, policy-aligned delivery platform that supports sovereign capability, regional jobs, environmental compliance, private-sector leverage and a clear pathway from development to execution.
  • Customers:
Creates a secure, traceable and allied supply pathway for rare-earth metals, alloys and high-performance Neodymium permanent magnets.
  • Feedstock suppliers:
Creates a downstream value-add pathway that converts Australian rare-earth oxides into higher-value metals, alloys and magnets.
  • Community:
Builds and maintains social licence to operate by creating direct and indirect skilled jobs, supporting local suppliers, investing in regional capability, maintaining environmental compliance, supporting education and workforce development, and contributing to Australia’s sovereign industrial capability.
